“Not on My Watch: Preventing Sexual Harassment” (90-120 minutes)
When lives are on the line, anything that undermines trust and cooperation—like sexual harassment—is a non-negotiable. This program for junior-level law enforcement and military personnel explains what sexual harassment is and how it can derail the function and reputation of the force they serve. Participants will learn active bystander tactics modified from the U.S. Army’s SHARP Program. We can customize this session to discuss the unit’s own codes and policies for reporting, due process, and confidentiality.
“Protecting and Serving our Own: Preventing and Responding to Sexual Harassment” (90-120 minutes)
This more detailed program is geared towards senior-level personnel. It includes all the content of “Not on My Watch”, but offers guidelines on communicating priorities regarding behavior and conduct, resolving small concerns now to prevent major offenses later, and the non-biased handling of sexual harassment complaints. This presentation will help you take the lead in creating a unit culture that neither commits nor tolerates sexual harassment.
