“Protecting Our Parents: Recognizing and Preventing Elder Abuse” (60-90 minutes)
Older adults are vulnerable to abuse and neglect by caretakers and family members, as well as fraud perpetrated by clever con artists. YHTP teaches participants about the different types of abuse, the State of Tennessee’s coordinated response to cases of elder abuse, common swindles affecting older adults, and how to set up a conservatorship to protect the older adults in their lives.
