Description

This film features the stories of four convicted child sex offenders and a survivor of child sexual abuse. At the time of filming, the offenders were incarcerated at a facility that offers voluntary treatment to sex offenders. One offender reported himself to his stepmother. He says that while prison is not ideal, he accepts that it’s where he needs to be to get help. Another says that he was maintaining a double life  taking care of his day-to-day responsibilities while hiding his sexual fantasies and behaviors. They acknowledge that more treatment will be needed outside of prison and that there is no cure for sex offenders. The survivor was sexually abused by several family members and shares the impact of that abuse on her life. In school, she was a bully and got into fights. She acted out sexually at an early age. As an adult, her anger lingered so she sought counseling where she disclosed the abuse for the first time.
